Worker’s Obligations
Injured Workers have obligations under the WorkCover legislation to make reasonable efforts to return to work in suitable employment or pre-injury employment at the worker’s place of employment or at another place of employment.
Employer’s Obligations
If you have an accepted Workcover claim, your Employer has an obligation to provide you suitable employment for a period of 52 weeks.
Your Rights
There are circumstances where it may be reasonable for you to refuse a Return to Work plan, for example when the duties are outside your Doctors restrictions.
If you are having difficulties with your Employer and/or Insurer in relation to Return to Work, we can assist you. Contact our office on (03) 9642 5332 to arrange a no obligations consultation.
